Resort Overview
Ponta Grande Resort in Portugal is a four-star resort located on the west part of Albufeira, in Sesmarias, between S.Rafael and Castelo beaches. Albufeira centre is almost two miles from the resort where you can find restaurants, bars and discos. The Marina is less than a mile away and the Salgados Golf course is two miles away.Sesmarias is out of Albufeira town center and ideal for those who like a quieter holiday. The local beach of S. Rafael is one of the most beautiful Europe. Albufeira, once a peaceful fishing village has now expanded into a thriving tourist centre but its old town still retains the narrow streets and whitewashed houses perched over a charming beach. Here you'll see the colourful fishing boats ornamented with eyes, animals and stars. Shops, bars and restaurants fill every corner, there is also the old castle, the buildings which still preserve Moorish arches and interesting churches, like the one of São Sebastião. The coastline of the Algarve consists of long stretches of fabulous sandy beaches, broken up by extraordinary rugged cliffs and fantastic grottoes. The townhouses at Ponta Grande Resort in Sesmarias near Albufeira town, on the Algarve, are all two bedroomed, 2 bathroom villas on two levels. The upper floor consists of two bedrooms accommodating up to 4 people and a bathroom. Downstairs there is a shower room, spacious lounge and kitchen. All have a large outside patio with garden furniture. The lounge area has a double sofa bed which will comfortably sleep a further two guests The resort is beautifully landscaped and is set in lush gardens. The houses are very spacious and fully equipped the majority are set around the large outdoor swimming pool.
